Scallop and Bacon Appetizer

Scallop and Bacon Appetizer
  • 1-1/2 lb. Sea Scallops
  • 1/3-1/4 lb. bacon
  • 2/3 c. butter(melted)
  • 1/4 c. white wine (chablis or rhine)
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. seasoned salt to taste
  • paprika

Cut bacon in half and cut halves length wise. Wrap bacon around scallops and secure with a toothpick. Mix white wine and lemon juice. Pour mixture over scallops, place in refrigerator and marinate for 1/2 hour. Place scallops in a shallow baking dish and pour melted butter over scallops. Sprinkle with paprika and seasoning salt. Bake in a preheated oven at 400 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Check scallops after 15 minutes. Oven may be placed on broil for a few minutes until bacon is crispy. Serve and Enjoy!
